Hey, my name is Mark Szymanski.
By day (and some nights) I’m a designer and front-end developer. I went to school for graphic design, with a focus on the web, in the mid 2000’s. Things like flash, fixed-width and table based layout’s and all around unsemantic-ness were prevalent and it was not cool. Fortunately not long after HTML5 landed on earth and with it came mobile devices and the increasing performance of browsers. Now it’s real cool.
I spend most of my time building websites for small and medium sized businesses. WordPress is a big deal for me, as it’s awesome, and is typically my defacto weapon of choice.
I focus on performance, optimization, semantics and smarts.
This blog is a place for me to echo what I’m doing and learning, share with others and hopefully learn as well.
